Vintage Midwest Barns
I’ve had the honor to document what is left of some of the most historic barns in the United States. Stretched across the plains of the Midwest to the coast of Virginia, these barns wear their years with grace. Built to store, to shelter, and to serve; these vintage barns are part utility, part poetry. Weathered wood, leaning frames – each one a quiet testament to the hands that built them and the seasons they’ve endured. Some although, have not been so lucky. A derecho, an extreme weather event on May 12, 2022, took many historical barns to buckling at their knees. Their final breath of hope and strength. More images will continue to be added as I travel the countryside.

The world without photography will be meaningless to us if there is no light and color, which opens up our minds and expresses passion.
